We are seeking a GRAPHIC DESIGNER who will work closely with the Design Director to develop compelling integrated print & web campaigns from concept to completion, consisting of identity, brochure, promotional, advertising and environmental design. 

Our ideal Graphic Designer candidates will possess the following:

  • 1 to 3 years of print and web design and production experience
  • Outstanding design and typography skills. Illustration skills a plus
  • Excellent knowledge of Adobe CS6 software
  • Comfort working in a very fast-paced environment under tight deadlines
  • Ability to attend to several projects simultaneously
  • Willingness to take design direction and work in a collaborative environment

  • Respond to incoming calls, emails and faxes, and provide information to customers and staff
  • Take event registrations and payment information, process event passes and refunds, send confirmation letters, and generate invoices for customers
  • Proofread and Edit Registration Data
  • Follow up with registrants of cancelled events
  • Travel to large events and run registration onsite, including processing registrations, addressing attendee questions, and training and overseeing temp registration staff
  • Coordinate before and during the event with our registration service provider


Required Skills and Expertise 

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred
  • At least 3 years of customer service experience, preferably for an event company.  Experience should include extensive phone communication and troubleshooting with customers, processing complex orders and taking payment.
  • Ability and willingness to travel to local and national events, up to 13 trips per year, and work long hours onsite
  • Excellent internal and external customer service skills; poise and professionalism
  • Proficiency in MS Office and use of a database
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Well-developed organizational skills

What will you be doing?

  • Document and execute logistics for all required on-site services (food and beverage, audio-visual, registration, meeting room assignments, transportation, exhibit services, special events)
  • Coordinate hotel rooming lists, shipping and equipment schedules, and assist with on-site document preparation
  • Create standard operating procedures (SOPs) to benefit company productivity
  • Manage inventory and logistics
  • Track events to budget and troubleshoot billing inquiries
  • Handle on-site registration check-ins
  • Frequent domestic travel is required

What do you need for this position?

  • Degree in hospitality or related discipline, and/or at least 2 years of experience in the hospitality/meeting planning industry
  • Excellent customer service skills, poise and professionalism
  • Be highly proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to balance multiple conferences while meeting deadlines with a focus on quality
